Couldn't agree more
will let this one slide though!
1. ToxinsExposure to large quantities of toxins can cause death. Exposure to small amounts over the course of many years can cause difficulty concentrating and trouble remembering things.
Mercury and lead are toxic heavy metals that when consumed in small quantities do not cause death. But, the metals can build up in the brain, as well as other organs of the body, and cause chronic health problems.
Mercury and lead are contaminants found in water, fish, fish oils and foods. Aluminum is another metal that is not considered a toxic heavy metal, but is known to accumulate in brain cells. We consume tiny amounts of aluminum when we eat a lot of canned foods or use aluminum cookware. Aluminum-based compounds can also be absorbed through the skin.
Other toxins that could be the problem are drugs and alcohol.
2. Physical Health ProblemsHigh blood pressure is one of the physical health problems that can cause memory loss. High blood pressure can eventually cause heart disease or stroke. Heart disease and stroke make it harder to remember things and they are lack of concentration causes.
Diabetes is a chronic health problem. It damages tiny nerve endings found in the brain and other parts of the body.
Hypothyroidism or low thyroid is a glandular problem that may be caused by exposure to toxins or the aging process. A functional thyroid gland is necessary for normal brain activity.
Temporary memory loss may be caused by an infection or another illness. Illnesses of any kind can be lack of concentration causes, because the ill person is too distracted by the symptoms or by worry to pay close attention.
Alzheimer's disease and age-related dementia are sometimes referred to as physical health problems. The cause of Alzheimer's is unclear. The cause of age-related dementia might seem to be aging, but elderly people do not always experience it. It is just different from the kinds of dementia experienced by younger people.
3. Mental Health ProblemsDepression, anxiety and insomnia are mental health problems that are lack of concentration causes. The conditions may actually be symptoms of a physical health problem, exposure to toxins or nutritional deficiencies. They may also be symptoms of the aging process.
4. AgingAlthough memory loss is often blamed on aging, not everyone has trouble remembering things as they get older. Some people go through life with good short and long-term memory.
However, getting older does increase a person's risk of Alzheimer's disease. But there are many other risk factors, including poor nutrition.
5. Nutritional DeficienciesMany experts feel that nutritional deficiencies and chronically low nutrient intake are the most common memory loss and lack of concentration causes. Now that you understand what might be causing the problem, you probably want to know what to do about it. In my next article, you will learn how to improve your memory and your ability to concentrate naturally.
