a. the hypothalamus of the brain stimulates the parasympathetic nervouse system to release cortisol.
b. hypothalamic-RH stimulates the release of ADH from the posterior pituitary which triggers the adrenal cortex to secrete cortisol.
c. the hypothalamus of the brain stimulates the sympathetic nervous system which triggers the adrenal medulla to release cortisol.
d. hypothalamic-RH stimulate the release of ACTH from the anterior pituitary which triggers the adrenal cortex to secrete cortisol.
