My professor wrote this definition for Allopatric Speciation on the board and I cannot understand it.
Allopatric Speciation- involves the evolution of reproductive barriers in populations that are prevented by a geographic barrier from exchanging genes.

Also, what does it mean by "Evolution of reproductive barriers"?

Allopatric speciation is when one new species is generated (or two emerge from one by a split) under a particular condition (allopatry).
