My equation is: Cu + 4HNO3 Rightwards Arrow Cu(NO3)2 + 2NO2 + 2H2O
Trying to find the net ionic equation I thought it was fine except that I had 4NO3 on one side and 2NO3 on the other. Do those just cancel out or is there 2NO3 left over? Or did I make another mistake....

No, you are right. There is 2NO3 left on the other side, because those 2 NO3 changed forms and became a part of something else, so it has to be part of the net ionic equation.
