As the capacitor is discharging, you need to use:

Vc=Ve^-x  or  5.4=17e^-x    or   .317647=e^-x

First find  RC.  Write it down.


x=t/RC    (Remember to notice that it is -x)

From here, solve for t.  (Knowledge of how to do log functions is needed.from algebra II)
