I tried to look this up my self, but I couldn't understand any of it.
And if anyone could give an example of what an integer and a rational number are that would be helpful too because my notes examples were totally different from the websites I looked at.
Please and thankyou!

rational numbers can be written as ratios or fractions.
All integers can be written as a fraction with the integer as the numerator and the number 1 as the denominator
1/1, 2/1, 3/1, 4/1 etc

first we need to understand what a rational number is, and what a irrational number is.

to make it easy, an irrational number would be a negative number, so n being an integer, n<0,
in other words a difficult number to work with.

so -7/6 , -68, -0.66 are all examples of irrational numbers. so you see it can take fractional form aswell.

an integer is a full or complete number, in other words in a easy format to understand and see therefore a rational number soooo.
