You are talking about centripetal force, force dirceted towards the centre of a circle in a circular motion.

The direction of the force of the satellite will be towards the centre of Earth. To find the force, use

F = m X v^2 / r
where m is the mass of the satellite in kg,
v is the velocity in m/s,
r is the distance from the centre of the earth.

Note that v^2 / r  is known as the centripetal acceleration.
