Nitric oxide,   NO,   reacts instantly with oxygen gas to give nitrogen dioxide,   NO2,   a dark brown gas.
In one experiment   19.36 g   of   NO   is mixed with   14.75 g   of   O2.

What is the theoretical yield of   NO2 ?   I.E., how many grams of   NO2   should be formed?

19.36g of NO are 0.645moles and 14.75 g of oxigen are 0.46moles, the reaction in 2NO + O2 ----> 2NO2 so NO is the limitant and all burns and creates 0.645moles of NO2 that are 29.673grams
