(1) Anthropological records show greater equality than previously thought. A lack of surplus in earlier societies eliminates a great deal of the incentive for inequality. The fact that men were the hunters in hunting and gathering societies supports the existence of inequality.
(2) Social arrangement, not biology, determines the types of work that men and women do. Even so, there are types of work that women have traditionally been less physically capable of doing. Technology has aided women in being able to break down sex barriers in many occupations.
(3) Biology is only relevant to a small number of activities. If examined more closely, there are many activities in which a man would be superior to a woman, or a woman superior to a man, based on physical attributes.
(4) Female crime rates are rising. They may be rising, but only because they are being reported more often. This increase still does not make women as violent or treacherous as men.
