I collected some clear, transparent spring water and boiled it in a stainless steel kettle. After boiling, I see white particles floating in the water? What is it?
Are the white particles/minerals in the water safe to consume? Thank you.

These particles are minerals that're separated from the water when it went through the extreme temperature change.

As water boils, it goes through a change of state from liquid to gaseous state. However, minerals in the water require a higher temperature before it undergoes the change of state from liquid to gas therefore the white particles floating in the water is the minerals that was not apparent at room temperature.

I doubt that it is salts that have precipitated out.  More likely scale on the inside of the kettle that got shaken off during use.

There are so many possibilities but the first mineral that came to my mind CaCO3. It can be dissolved in the water and when you boiled water, it separated from water.
