In the modern world, we can combat almost anything than can cripple / make us die with artificial means. How then must natural selection work in our present time?

What shape or form do you see humans evolving to in the next few million years?

I guess you could say that nuclear/conventional weapon supremacy would be a factor. Also people in less fortunate countries that can't afford "artificial means" are less likely to survive. Therefore, people with money will survive because they are the "fittest."

There is little in the way of natural selection these days in relatively developed countries. In the future I see biological enhancement and genetic modification as the way for human evolution.

Check out Rio de Janeiro.  I anticipate that in the next few million years, people will look like Brazilians do today.
