1, NO you never push K because it will kill them.
2, Yes, b/c if IV infultrates and K is a vesicant that can cause damage to surrounding tissue.
3, Maybe No?  It's typically already prepared by the pharmacy.
4, Yes, the rate needs to be controlled.  Too fast is bad.
5,  Yes.  intake and out put via IV are ALWAYS monitored.

3,4,5 -At least in Veterinary medicine.
Possibly 2.

KCl can be lethal. You wouldn't want to push it at all via infusion pump. It is usually mixed in to the IV fluids. I don't think, even in human medicine, you would ever give that much of it to justify putting it in via an IV infusion pump.

You may want to check the injection site. So, check the port, T set, etc. (All of the IV catheter maintenance). Flush the IV catheter to make sure it's working correctly, and that it is patent.  I think that #2 is asking/implying that you would want to inject it intravenously, then check the site, and the answer would be NO. It is done via catheter over a very small amount of time.
