If gravity between 2 celestial bodies is a result of the bending of space-time, then how can this be the same force that keeps us grounded to the Earth?

I hope that was a decent explanation of what i'm getting at...

it is just a matter of how much.  there is nothing to reconcile.

It looks like you don't really understand the "bending of space-time" and why that is "gravity".

Study General Relativity and you'll figure it out.

Well as you probably know, space-time is the fabric that everything rests on. The sun makes a dip in space-time because of its mass. The direction of everything in the universe is in a straight line but when something such as a planet gets caught in the dip of the sun, it starts going with the curvature of space-time. That's relatavistic physics. But the same thing can't really be said for the force that holds humans to earth. Newtonian physics still holds true for that though. The mass of a celestial object attracts other things to it. So its something scientist are still trying to figure out. That kinda answered your question. But I got what you were asking. We just got done learning about that in my Earth and space science class.
