Here's the brief idea on what goes on.  if we eat a hamburger, the carbohydrates, protein, and fats gets digested by a process known as hydrolysis, which break these macromolecules into their subunits to be absorbed by the small intestines to be carried to the blood stream and tissues. And dehydration synthesis reaction to build larger molecules by the bonding toget of their subunits to be stored for later use. However these process don't natural occur they need some specific enzyme. Let me know if that helps..
