I have to do an experiment that involves the different shapes of papillae on my tongue. My human physiology teacher told me to drink Kool-Aid and then press my tongue on a white sheet of paper, but it didn't work! I don't know how to do this! It's the craziest experiment I've ever done! Please someone help me find out how to do this experiment it's worth a lot of extra credit points that can help my grade!

After doing years and years of biology, I have never heard of such an experiment. Taste buds are found in elevations on the tongue called papillae, but the papilla are almost literally microscope. Some are smaller than others but it would be next to impossible to decipher between them. I've heard of experiments that have to do with tasting regions of the tongue, but not this. Try doing this experiment after enjoying a syrupy sucker; the sugars in the sucker will likely fit into the grooves of your tongue and probably it will help you cause. Your teacher should go back to teacher's college Face with Stuck-out Tongue.
