ratio tells ou how one quantity varies with respect to another.
two equivalent ratios make a proportion
percentage is an equivalent ratio/fraction with 100 as the denominator

In Arithmetic, you compare two numbers either by Difference or by Division.

Ratio is a comparison of two numbers by division. Ratio is always a number achieved by dividing one number with another.
e.g. 6 divided by 2 equal to 3.

Proportion is also a comparison, when two or more Ratios are equal.
e.g. 3/2 = 9/6=39/26

Percentage is a Ratio as compared with 100, for ease of interpretation.
