1 -- Patients with generalized psoriasis or with psoriasis over 30% of the body will most likely be treated with phototherapy. To avoid damage to the eyes they will need to be shielded during the treatment and the patient can expect areas of erythema approximately eight hours after the treatment. The treatment is measured in seconds with a gradual increase in exposure times.
