4 -- This patient has a waist to hip ratio of 0.98. A healthful waist-to-hip ratio for a male is 1.0 or less. A healthful waist-to-hip ratio for a female is 0.8 or less. The female patient with 35-inch hips has a waist-to-hip ratio of .83, which is too high. The female patient with 36-inch hips has a waist-to-hip ratio of 0.81. The male patient with 36 inch hips has a waist-to-hip ratio of 1.03.
