Seems like this hot weather has nothing to do with "global warming" and more to do with barometric pressure according to the weather experts on TV.  So what drives the pressure either high or low?  If it were always low this would this not be a very nice and cool place to live?

global warming has changed the weather patterns because it has increased the temperature of the oceans.where it is usually cool and dry, its hot and wet or vice versa or worse where its usually good weather has had flooding and thunderstorms.

A recent study by David Rupp et. al. found that five extreme weather events last year, including the 2011 Texas heatwave, can be linked to climate change.

The heat was caused by a ridge of high pressure, there was a trough present then the weather would be cooler and wetter. The pressure changes are related to weather, climate is different.

Climate change is a shaky subject, however this heat wave and the global warming claims may have been blown out of proportion as it is only the US that is having record heat, while the rest of the world is running below average.
