A. They break down protein into amino acids needed for their particular protein synthesis.

B. They need these proteins to incorporate directly into required tissues.

C. They need protein for cell energy.

C is partially true, but use of protein for energy is very inefficient (it requires a lot of energy to break down proteins) and fat or carbohydrates are are much better source of energy.
