The immune system is made out of a team of cells distributed throughout the body, but these cells can be found in pockets of tissue where they mature and circulate in a vigilant mode. In addition, during infection this organ expands due to B-cell proliferation. Name this organ.

When B cells are exposed to antigens, they undergo clonal expansion in the lymph nodes.

if you remember, when you get sick, your lymph nodes swell and can become painful.

the lymphoid stem cell is involved in luekopoiesis, which results in lymphocyte formation.
this stem cell differentiates into B and T lymphoblasts, which mature into B and T lymphocytes respectively
