-everyone has slightly different genetic coding, so even if two were raised in the same conditions, they would turn out differently

-we must operate within the constraints of our genetic coding

-in a study between identical twins and fraternal twins raised separately, identical twins [who share all the same dna] developed IQs 85% similar, vs fraternal twins [who share 50% of the same dna] developed IQs 60% similar. Considering the format of the IQ test, this infers that half of the variation [at least] is due to genes.
