The calcium pump controls what ions such as Mg2+ goes in or out of the neurotransmitter. Im not exactly sure if this is right?? could someone elaborate from their opinion of expertis as which if this is right or not?

Hi there, that statement doesn't make much sense. A neurotransmitter is a chemical, so I don't think an ion can go "in or out" of it. You will need to elaborate on the process you are referring to. All I can tell you is that Mg2+ competes with Ca2+ and does not active ACH release.
