How come with dot product if i had vector A* vector B the product is a scalar and not a vector?

That is how a dot product is defined,  There is not going to be an answer that will satisfy you because the  operation was just defined, not discovered or anything.

A dot product (or inner product) gives a scalar
A vector product (or cross product as it is usually called) gives a vector
An outer product gives a tensor

This is just how things were defined, because this is how people defined it, that is how they are.  Probably not the answer you were looking for, but your answer does not exist.
