I am terrible at balancing equations and I have a big assignment due tomorrow. Can anyone tell me how to balance the equations? Thank you in advance.

It helps to balance all elements first, ignoring hydrogen and oxygen. Then balance hydrogens, and then lastly oxygens. Many times this makes things simpler in the end, not sure why.

I always list all of the elements involved and put how many I have on each side. I always try to balance things that are by themselves first, then do the compounds - this always makes it much easier for me!
