4. complaints of leg pain upon rest

This is due to the arteries decrease in size, though there is a lack of blood flow already with this process, it is more severe at rest.

Rubor means redness, There is already a lack of blood flow in this disease so elevating the leg (1) would would be a lack of color in the area from moving it up. (2) is false as there is no hairs at that location due to the severe narrowing of the arteries which also makes (3) incorrect, a pulse may not be present from the atrophy of the arteries.

Manifestations of peripheral atherosclerosis include intermittent claudication; pain at rest; paresthesias; diminished or absent peripheral pulses; pallor with extremity elevation; rubor with extremities in dependent position; thin, shiny, hairless skin; thickened toenails; and areas of skin discoloration or skin breakdown.
