3 -- Tremors are rhythmic movements that can be seen with activity or at rest. The type of tremors observed is linked to specific disease processes. Fasciculations are twitching movements associated with motor neuron disease. Jerky movements would be descriptive of cogwheel rigidity associated with Parkinson’s disease. Shaking is a term associated with generalized response to stressors such as cold.
