1 -- Flashes of light, floaters, or the sensation of a curtain being drawn over the eye are indicators of retinal detachment. Conjunctivitis presents with pain, redness, and possible discharge. A sty would demonstrate swelling and tenderness. Cataracts manifest with opacity of the eye.
