How do you use the Distributive Property to simplify an algebraic expression?

explain too? =\ btw this is algebra 1 for 8th grade xD

For example, if you were asked to simplify the equation
3(x+4)-2(x-5)
You would need to distribute the 3 and the -2 into the brackets to make
3x+12-2x+10
Then, you would just collect like terms Slight Smile
