A recent tomb has been unearthed in Egypt that shows a set of wall paintings and hieroglyphics of stars falling to and rising above the horizon over the course of the year (these stars served as sentinels for the pharaoh?s passage through the underworld). How would astronomers use this data to date the tomb?

no need for that data, they will use carbon dating.

They can't. I seen the painting and the stars are all identically the same size and are in mathematical geometric lines.

Just add the data to a computer and it would work out the details of where and when.^

There is no need to complicate answers, the astronomical "whereabouts" can be computed to at least 50,000 years ago, probably more.
