What recommendations would you make to a patient with fasting plasma glucose levels in the impaired/borderline-impaired range who was in the impaired/borderline-impaired range for the oral glucose tolerance test?

The amount of corn syrup in the American diet has been described as alarmingly high (especially in the foods that children eat). In the context of this activity, predict the likely trends in the fasting plasma glucose levels of our children as they mature.

I would have them start monitoring their blood glucose levels and have them start making healthier choices when eating. That way they start having a lower intake of simple sugars.
