Then, if it is homozygous (eg AA), all the offspring will show the dominant trait (because they'll be heterozygous,  eg Aa).  But if it is heterozygous (eg Aa), the offspring will show both traits (some Aa and some aa)

One that exhibits the recessive trait. Because to exhibit the recessive trait the Plant must have 2 recessive genes. If some of the offspring has the recessive trait and some had the dominant then you will know that the plant has heterozygous since this means that the parent must have had one recessive gene. If they are all dominant then it was homozygous.
