You're not totally wrong as both light and gamma rays are electromagnetic radiations (photons)

Usually, when most of people are referring to light, they mean the visible electromagnetic radiations, which are ranging between 380 and 750 nm.

However, gamma rays are at far shorter wavelengths (usually below 0.010 nanometers) thus their photons are far more energetic than the visible light ones.

However, I wonder how you would catch a photon cheating with steroids?!?!?!? heheheh Wink Face

yeah pretty much, Visible light is around 400 - 700 nanometers in wavelength.
So the photons are generally packing around 3.61*10^-19 Joules or about 2.3 electronvolts in energy.

But Gamma rays can have a wavelengths below 10^-12 meters. (Picometers) And have energies of over 50 Kilo electronvolts, This puts them on average about 20,000x more energetic than visible light.

So i think your explanation of them being on steroids is pretty valid lol
