whats the advantages and disadvantages on living in a large country? example what are some advantages and disadvantages of living in Canada, Russia exc.

Advantages lots of places to visit,different climatic zones to experience,larger genetic base to marry into, variety of cultures in different regions,larger area to find mineral wealth.

Disadvantages isolated communities so infrastructures ( roads bridges etc ) cost more larger communities subsidise smaller ones, cost of internal transportation greater,longer borders to protect

I have listed the advantages above and for the disadvantages of living in a large country it would be the tine necessary to drive from one place to another as well as the cost of gas.  The things about any disadvantages is that the people who live there get used to the size and therefore do not see the disadvantages.  Nothing beats wide open spaces!
