Fluorescence microscopy can be used with fluorescent stains to view structures within cells whose size is much less than Abbe?s resolution limit for light microscopy.  Explain how that is possible.

Yes, because fluorescent dyes actually emit light when excited by an appropriate wavelength of radiation.  Objects stained with such dyes are therefore readily visible against the dark background. You wouldn't be able to see a 1 inch stone from 200 yards away on a bright sunny day.  But you would easily see a 1 inch flashlight 200 yards away on a dark night.  Same principle.
