So I diluted a 125mM stock substance (fast green fcf). To do the dilution I used 0.20 ml of the stock and 1.80ml of water. The concentration at the end is 125 uM. What exactly is the molarity for this and how do I find it? Please show me the steps, I have a few other problems like these I'd like to do on my own.

When doing dilutions you can use the formula

M1V1=M2V2

where M1 is the molarity of the stock solution, V1 is the volume of the stock solution used, M2 is the new molarity, and V2 is the total volume after dilution.

so in this case

125*0.2=M2*2,0

M2 = 12.5mM.     I'm not sure what the 125uM number is suppossed to be
