Inside of sqrt must be >=0.
So 2-x>=0 <===> x>=2
(negative infinity, 2] is the domain.
the sign of sqrt(2-x) is negative so (negative infinity, 0] is your range.

The domain are all of the values that the dependent variable, x ,can be : the sqrt cannot be negative, thus the domain is 2-x>0 or   x > 2

The range are all of the values that the independent variable, y, can be : since x can be any number greater than 2, the range is 0 < y < infinity
