This upcoming semester, I have the option to take either Precalculus or a combination of College Algebra and Trigonometry. I am wondering which would be best for me to take considering I am majoring in Engineering. I?d obviously prefer to take one which will benefit me in my next classes.

I would say both.  Electrical engineering is pretty difficult from what I hear.  Not sure about the math requirements, but if you don't know algebra and trig, then you're in trouble.

Calculus is very important among the 3 in Engineering.

Electrical Engineering is very mathematical.  Take all of the math you can get.  Both courses would be good, if you can take them in sequence in high school.

If you can only take one course, I would tend to favor "College Algebra and Trigonometry", but only because I took Calculus without any kind of pre-calculus course in high school, and did all right.
