2,3 -- Transvaginal ultrasound is used to determine endometrial thickening, which may indicate hypertrophy or malignant changes, and dilatation and curettage to remove tissue are the definitive tests for diagnosing endometrial cancer. Abdominal x-rays, Intravenous pyelogram (IVP), or CT scans are used to determine the extent of disease once diagnosed and to check for metastasis.
