4 -- Chlamydia is the most prevalent sexually transmitted infection in the United States. Local health departments rank chlamydia number one in infections of the female population under the age of 25. Screening is strongly recommended for all sexually active females age 25 or younger according to the American Academy of Family Practitioners. HPV may be considered but chlamydia would be the priority. HPV may be considered but chlamydia would be the priority. Genital herpes and condyloma are not clinically present at this time.
