Refer to Figure 10.22 and note the carbon sources (up arrows) and the carbon sinks (down arrows). Carbon due to emissions from human activities is denoted with red while carbon due to natural sources is denoted with yellow. What is the total of the yellow up arrows? The total yellow down arrows? What does this tell us about the source of increased carbon in the atmosphere?
