1. 3-butanol

2. i dont get it =S, i need to know if its aromatic or not.

3. primary =D because the C bonded with the OH has only one "R" and 2 hydrogens left. To be secondary the C bonded has to have 1 hidrogen left and to be tertiary it doesnt have to have any left.

Sorry for my english u.u hope it helps .

1. 2-butyl alcohol (commonly known as 2-butanol)

2. Benzyl-ethyl ether (assuming that is a benzene ring)
cyclohexyl-ethyl ether (if this is not a benzene ring, but simply a cyclohexane ring)

3. If you mean 2-methyl-1-butanol, then its primary
If you mean 2-methyl-2-butanol, then its tertiary

Carbon is primary, secondary or tertiary depending on how many carbons are attached to it.
A primary carbon is on the end of a molecule, since there is only 1 carbon attached to it.  Secondary and tertiary are inside the molecule, with either 2 carbons attached (sec) or 3 (tert).

Since 2 of your 3 questions involved typing carbons, I thought that might help you.
Always name using the LOWEST numbers possible.
The molecule in question 1 is 2-butanol (NOT 3)
#2 is ethyl phenyl ether (go alphabetically in naming substutuents)
#3 - the #2 carbon in 2-methyl butanol, is already a Secondary carbon (since you say "butanol", we assume that the OH group is actually on the number 1 carbon, not #2) but add a methyl group, and now it has 3 carbons on it.  That makes #2 a ..... Carbon? Tertiary.

Drawn, it would look like this.

......CH3
CH2-CH-CH2-CH3
.OH

Good luck.
