There are autosomal traits and sex linked traits, the main difference is almost all genetic disorders and genetic predispositions that are known are linked to the X chromosome.
Now X linked means that it passes from the X chromosome only, however Autosomal means that you receive from both parents classical Mendelian genetics. You need two recessive traits to possess the genetic disorder.

sex-linked:  a gene that is on a sex chromosome (mostly X, though much more rarely on Y)

linked:  two genes that are on the same chromosome.  The chromosome can be autosomal or not.

unlinked:  two genes on different chromosomes

Sex linked means it's on one of the sex chromosomes.

Linked trains meaning two traits are on the same chromosome.

non-linked traits are when two traits are on different chromosomes.
