i take oxycodon for pain medication and only having been waiting for about 20~ 30 minutes, i start feeling the effects. i thought foods take about 40 minutes or longer to get into the intestinal tracts and start getting absorbed. is the oxycodon getting absorbed through the stomach lining?

Hi, if Oxycodone was an actual opiate, I'd say the GI tract (100%), because most opioids are absorbed from the GI tract. Oxycodone, however, is a semi-synthetic opioid, but still acts gets absorbed there. What you're experiencing is probably eating the tablet on an empty stomach?
