Heres the equation i was given:

3(y - 2x) = 5(y - 2x) - 8

-1/3 (x - 5y) = (y - x) - 4

My teacher gave me the answer (-10/3, -8/3) But I don't know how to solve it. If you could please explain it and write out the whole process into solving it thanks

3y - 6x = 5y - 10x - 8
4x - 2y = - 8

-x + 5y = 3y - 3x - 12
2x + 2y = - 12

4x - 2y = - 8
2x + 2y = - 12______ADD

6x = - 20
x = - 10/3

- 20/3 + 2y = - 12
2y = - 16/3
y = - 8/3

x = - 10/3 , y = - 8/3

3*y - 6*x - 5*y + 10*x = - 8

- x + 5*y - 3*y + 3*x = - 12

4*x - 2*y = - 8
2*x + 2*y = - 12
-----------------------
6*x = - 20

 x = - 10/3

4*x - 2*y = - 8
2*x + 2*y = - 12, multiply by - 2

 4*x - 2*y = - 8
-4*x - 4*y = 24
----------------------
 - 6*y = 16

 y = - 8/3

( - 10/3; - 8/3), answer!
