i am doing math, and this is a vocabulary problem. Algebra, solve quadratic equations by the quadratic formula Slight Smile i would love help ASAP !!! l

The quadratic equation!

If you are going to do anything in math, you will need to memorize this equation.  It isn't awful (sorta looks bad, but once you learn how to use it, it will become second nature).

-b (plus and minus) sqrt(b^2-4ac) all divided by 2a

-b +/-( sqrt (b^2 - 4ac))/2a

There is a little song:

negative b, negative b plus or minus square root, plus or minus square root, b squared minus 4ac, b squared minus 4ac over 2 a, over 2 a.  (put into the ding ding dong tune).

Hi!

When you're doing math, you should memorize this so that you have it everywhere you go!  It isn't too hard.  Here is a photo of the quadratic formula:

Here is another website that has a "quadratic calculator."  You plug in numbers and it solves for you!  Here is the link:
