Receptor help!!

I need help with this question, desperately:
All of the following are matches of a stimulus detected by the correct receptor except
A. driving down a winding country road--> hair cells in the semi-circular canals
B. light rays of the visible spectrum--> cones and rods in the retina of the eye
C. burning radiant energy from a hot stove--> osmoreceptor in the skin
D. muscle movemement--proprioceptors in joints, tendons, and muslces

I know it's between B and D, but I'm not sure... please help!

The answer is: burning radiant energy from a hot stove--> osmoreceptor in the skin

Yeh i don't think it's neither b or d, but c like bio_man said. recall that it says '...receptor except'

sorry.. I meant between A and C... I agree with you guys. thanks for the help! But what is the matter with c.. is it supposed to be thermoreceptor instead of osmo?

No, it should be osmo. If it were thermo, it would actually be correct. An osmoreceptor is a sensory receptor primarily found in the hypothalamus (brain).
