Hi, I'm new to the forums and this nutrition stuff so, I've tried searching for similar essays but couldn't find anything. Could you a little assistants on this,

Kelly is a 24 year old college senior.  She is a vegetarian who believes strongly in animal rights.  So, over the last three and a half years she has eliminated all meat and animal products from her diet.  She has also lost a little more than 15 pounds.  Lately Kelly feels that she has lost too much weight.  She is 5’3” and weighs 105 pounds.  Her diet includes alfalfa sprouts, legumes of various types, and tofu that has not been fortified.  She especially loves black bean soup peanut butter sandwiches with multi grain bread, and several soy products.  Kelly occasionally drinks soymilk.  The only vegetable oils that she uses are safflower oil or canola oil.  She does not take vitamin or mineral supplements, such as calcium because she believes they are not necessary.  Her theory is that she can obtain all her vitamins and minerals from the food she eats.  Kelly drinks no alcoholic beverages and does not smoke.  She believes it is best to eat only “natural” foods.  She eats no bleached flours but chooses to eat whole grain cereals and bread.  However, she makes sure to eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables at every meal.  Despite her health conscious measures, Kelly catches colds easily and has a harder time fighting them off. Kelly has never been very active, but lately she has lacked energy.  Kelly wonders if she should look into her diet.  She decides it is time to investigate the facts about vegetarian diets in more detail, with the hope that she can feel better through more informed vegetarian eating.
1.    Name and describe the type of vegetarian eating Kelly is participating in.
2.   Examine Kelly’s diet and give her some advice on how to eat a healthier diet without giving up her strong beliefs about animals.
3.   What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of the protein sources in Kelly’s diet?
4.   Where are the sources of calcium in her diet found?
5.   What would you say to her about vitamin and mineral supplements?
6.   Calculate the amount of protein Kelly should eat per day, if she is 5’3” tall and hoping to weigh 121 pounds after her weight gain.
7.   Give any other nutrition information that may help Kelly to have a healthier diet.
