Aggression among SEA ANEMONES and STONY CORALS

Like the sea anemones, stony corals, and many organisms, there is a constant competition between organisms for space. In particular, the sea anemones and stony corals.

Acontia are free filaments of the inner most edges of septa that divide the gastrovascular cavity of sea anemones and corals, and they serve the ultimate pruprose of increasing surface area for digestion. they could be complete and go all the way down to the bottom  of the cavity, or incomplete and stop almost halfway. Account are loaded with warrior cells called nematocytes that are triggered by chemicals. They also include enzyme gland cells that unmercilessly capture prey and digest them to death.

Meanwhile, when anemones and stony corals' account come across another one-on-one or stony coral account of different species or of an unrelated clone, the m nematocytes are triggered and fire against each other. They don't forfit the war before one of the combatants retire. This happens only when their tissues are narcotized and completely digested and burnt.
