Can you explain why incrasing extracellular k+ reduces the net diffusion of K+ out of the neuron through k+ leak channels?

Hi shawn-dog,

Potassium leak channels depend on the concentration difference. If you increase the concentration of K+ outside the cell, the difference between the concentration inside and outside of cell would decrease. As a result, the net diffusion of Potassium ion would decrease.

Thanks Laser_3.
I thinking I'm getting it. Still a little confused. For starters can you tell me what the definition of concentration difference is , so I can break this down in simpler terms?  Also, am I interpeting this correctly:   K+ channels are always open right? So increasing the K+ the concentration outside the cell allows less K+ to leak out the channels? I hope I'm making sense.
